We Reached The Star

On 13 February 2015, because of everybody’s hard work, Jakarta Motivators Toastmasters Club has managed to reach 10 DCP.

This will motivate us to deliver more speeches and take more leadership roles!

Our meeting last week was about “My Ideal”. An ideal can be our expectation of someone. An ideal can be an ideal friend, family, parents, or, as most famously termed when we hear about ideal is, an ideal lover or spouse.

It’s always interesting to talk about love, and in this February, the month of Love, we’ll do it in every weekly meeting.

On Prepared Speech session, we had two members who delivered their BM1. Mega talked about herself, her background, and Katumbiri, a dance that portrayed the gentleness of a Sundanese girl. We also had Tika, a member who studied pharmacy. Tika said something very memorable. “I am westerner”. We thought she had a descendant from US or Europe. Apparently, she explained further, “I am from the West of Indonesia”.

So witty and charming, indeed.

Tonight, we will celebrate Valentine’s Day. Let’s have a romantic night together at Motivators!

L ast Saturday we held Evaluation and Humorous Speech Contest s for Jakarta Motivators Toastmasters Club. As always, the contest mean t a lot for all fellow T oastmasters. Those who join ed the contest we re hoping to see the improvements in delivering speeches, whilst those who s a t as audiences we re hoping to gain various benefits from the content of contestants speeches.  We were very lucky, it was bright Saturday, and the weather wasn’t hot eventhough the contest started at 10 AM until 1 PM. The venue was Rempah Iting Restaurant which wa s located in Sunda Street number 7 (near Sarinah Dept. Store, behind The Harvest). Recap Meeting July 7th, 2021: Reignite The Spark!

"Remember why you started, remember where you’re headed, think of how great it will be to get there, and keep going." - Ralph Marston - Have you ever lost interest in something that you used to do passionately? You are sure about its importance, but you are not excited anymore. You can reignite the spark! In this first week of July 2021, Jakarta Motivator Toastmasters Club had the first regular online meeting with the new executive committees. Yeah, we tried to reignite the spark! The meeting was opened by the new president, TM Hansel. Although he had some trouble connection issues, he tried to welcome our guests and visit toastmaster members before handing it to our Toastmasters of the Meeting (TOM), TM Melisa. Recap Meeting September 1st, 2021: Self-Mastery

  "No man is free who is not master of himself." - Epictetus Do you have control of yourself? Tonight in Jakarta Motivator Toastmasters club, we are going to discuss about self-mastery. What is self-mastery? We believe self-mastery is an ability to control our desire or impulsive. It will be the ultimate test to find our character. So we hope in this meeting, for more less two hours, all motivators can try to mastery themselves and control to stay positive in tis group. Okay, without any further do, let's start to know what happened in this meeting! The meeting was opened by Mr. President, TM Hans. TM Hans explain what a toastmasters is and the agenda in general.
